Boxing well to orders from corner man Dermot Hamill, Tyler did enough to win every round and now meets Eamer Coughlan from the Sunnyside club in Cork this Friday, at the National Stadium.

Clubmate Martin Stokes, representing Co. Antrim, was a clear points winner over Kyle McIlroy of Co. Louth in an inter county match in Drogheda.

Sam McCullough, Frank Duffin, Emeka Omwuka and the Stokes brothers, Martin and Michael all weighed in for the forthcoming Co. Antrim championships, where a win books a place in Dublin, over Easter week, for a shot at an Irish title.
