Carl ‘The Jackal’ Frampton was put through his paces at Monkstown Amateur Boxing Club this week as he prepares for April’s final eliminator for the WBC super-bantamweight title against Hugo Fidel Cazares.
The former Glengormley High School pupil is set to return to action against the Mexican fighter at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, with the winner becoming mandatory challenger to current champion, Leo Santa Cruz.
The Times was granted exclusive access at the Cashel Drive club as Frampton did some pad work with coach Shane McGuigan, while Barry McGuigan watched on at ringside.
