IN their first Belfast and East Antrim Youth League match for six weeks, due to frozen pitches, the Larne team forged into an early lead but later had to resort to playing catch-up.

Cesar Navarro and Craig Bailie combined to create the chance for Daniel Girvan to open the scoring, but Comber levelled from the kick-off and then took the lead with only their second attempt at goal.

Before half-time, Jordan Weir found Thomas Spence on the left and his pass was converted by Curtis Gilmore.

The second half was goalless.

The Under-12s lost 5-1 to Linfield, the Under-13s were beaten 6-2 by Castleview and the Under-13 Academy team lost 4-0 to Ballyclare Colts.
