He was named Man of the Match as tries from Ben Heath and Gary Dillon sealed the narrowest of 10-7 victories over Armagh at Portadown’s Chambers Park.

Dromore won the tournament last season as part of a treble and this year’s decider will be a repeat of the 2015 final, as they face Rainey.

Armagh, who were amongst the contenders in the league, went into the semi-final as favourites but that didn’t worry Dromore, who took the lead as Dromore High School star Heath cut a line between the centre and the wing to touch down.

Armagh roared back to score a converted try and take a 7-5 lead but Wallace player Dillon ensured that wasn’t to the end for Dromore.

He scored a fantastic individual second-half try, breaking from the half-way line to push off a couple of defenders and score in the corner.

Dromore will take on Rainey in the final at 7.45pm on Wednesday 27th April at Chambers Park.
