At the conclusion of the game the Knockan Road team had taken a lead of twelve shots into the second leg on the February 26 at the Playing Fields.

In actual fact all four Broughshane rinks ended up with a win and Andrew Morrison’s rink had a three shot victory over David Elliott. While Alan Cahoon’s rink won by two shots against Adam Hunter and the third game saw Tommy Morrison squeeze Bryan Magrath’s changes by the slender margin of one shot. This leaves the B.I.B.C ‘A’ team with a major task ahead when they face the second leg at Broughshane.
