Brown secures great finish

THE highlight of last Thursday night's action in the Avis Rent-A-Car Eglinton and District Darts League, was a fantastic 11 dart leg from Paul Brown (Rising Sun top flight) with a leg of 180, 140, 81 and 100 finish.

This feat will be hard to achieve again so Paul is in the driving seat for the best leg of the season at the annual dinner dance and presentation.

The other good legs on the night were from Campbell Jackson (McKeevers) 15 and 18 dart legs, Conrad Watson (Rising Sun top flight) with 15 darts, Paul Brown (Rising Sun top flight) with 16 darts, Seamus O'Hara (Longfield A) 17 darts, Noel Pyper (Longfield A) 18 darts; Colin Maxwell (McKeevers) 19 darts, Dermott McGuinness (Donaghys A) 20 and 21 darts.

There were two maximum scores of 180 from Austin Thompson (Riverside Bar A)and Paul Brown (Rising Sun top flight). The highest finish of the week was from Campbell Jackson (McKeevers) with a fantastic 141 checkout and Dermott McGuinness (Donaghys A) with a 104 checkout closely followed by Conrad Watson (Rising Sun top flight) with a 101 finish and Paul Brown (Rising Sun top flight) with a 100 finish.

This weeks league games are as follows: Donaghys B vs Riverside Bar A, Longfield B vs Rising Sun top flight, McKeevers vs Gort Na Drum, Rising Sun vs Donaghys A, Riverside Bar B vs Longfield A and Sportsman Inn vs Eglinton CC.

Last Saturday nights bonus ball was won by the Rising Sun with No.25. The next monthly darts meeting is on Monday, January 25, at 8.30pm sharp in McKeevers Bar, Claudy and all bars must have at least one representative in attendance.
