Buller fourth fastest in testing

HITECH Racing has concluded its pre-season testing programme for the 2010 Cooper Tires British F3 International Series with both cars inside the top six on the series' annual media day at Silverstone this week.

Following on from the launch of the new look team at its Buckingham base back in February, the team has worked on an extensive testing programme for the season ahead, with its Dallara-Volkswagens hitting the track at circuits around the UK - including Snetterton, Rockingham and Oulton Park.

For MSA Team UK driver and Scarva man Will Buller, the Silverstone session started in difficult fashion when he went off in wet conditions at Abbey, but hard work from the Hitech team allowed him to rejoin the circuit in the spare car.

The Formula BMW graduate repaid the effort put in to end the day with the fourth quickest time, just a tenth of a second away from the pace-setter.

"Pre-season testing has had its ups and downs, but the team is heading into the season stronger and more focused as a result," he said. "We have certainly learned a lot that we can take into the year ahead. Throughout testing there have been a lot of red flags and dealing with the amount of traffic on circuit has made it difficult, but we have just focused on our own programme and not been concerned about the times.

"Its difficult to judge where everyone stands from testing as you don't know what people are doing and we'll only know where everyone stands when we start qualifying at Oulton Park. The final test didn't start well when I went off in the wet at Abbey but the team did a fantastic job to get the spare car ready for me to use and its encouraging to have finished only a tenth of a second off the pace despite losing time on track."
