Bumper programme in store at Raceway

THERE'S a packed programme of 15 races in store for motorsport fans at Ballymena Raceway on Friday evening (May 21).

Round 14 of the National Hot Rod World Qualifying campaign tops the bill and the action is sure to be fast and furious.

With only three rounds remaining the leading contenders such as Gary Woolsey, John Christie, Mark Heatrick, former World Champion Keith Martin, current World No. 2 Glenn Bell and reigning Northern Ireland Champion Stewart Doak all know they can book their place on the World Final grid with a good result at Raceway this weekend.

The F2 Stock Cars are also in action on Friday evening, with Crumlin’s Adam Maxwell attempting to repeat his hat-trick heroics from the previous Raceway outing.

The programme also includes action from the Classic Hot Rod and Junior Rod divisions, plus the second round of the Global Oils Grand Prix Series for the Group Two Lightning Rods.

The first race at the Cirrus Plastics sponsored meeting commences at 7:15pm.
