Bursary reminder
COUNTY Down sports clubs are reminded that Sunday, 29th August is the closing date for receipt of entries for the 2010 Texaco Sportstars Bursary scheme for which over EUR100,000 has been allocated.
Five bursaries of 3,500 each will go to deserving sports clubs in Northern Ireland with twenty going to clubs in the Republic in amounts of EUR5,000 each.
In preparing their entry, clubs must demonstrate why they deserve a bursary and how they would spend it if successful.
Winners will be presented with their award at a ceremony to be held in Dublin on Thursday September 30.
