BUSC earn draw in first game at new ‘home’

BUSC claimed a point from their opening match in their new ‘home’ of Connolly’s Bar, as the Ballymena Towers Pool League resumed last week.

Social Club 3, Ballee Black Ballers 3: Ballee won the opening two games, their winners were Lewis Boyd and Neil Weir who had 2-0 wins over Eddie Fleck and Johnny Fleck.

BUSC replied when Dennis Keenan beat Dean Robinson by a 2-1 scoreline before Ross Hill levelled the match at 2-2 when he beat Craig Young by the same margin.

Marc McMullan put the Social Club ahead for the first when he defeated Jason Weir in straight frames. In the final game Allister Law levelled the match and earned his side a draw when he defeated Brian Boyd also in straight frames. POM - Allister Law

Fairhill Hustlers 3, Diamond Dazzlers 3: The away team took the lead through Ian Boal and then doubled their lead by a 2-1 win for Robert Artt after Richard Campbell had won the first frame.

Fairhill pulled a game back through Robert Graham and Ritchie Irwin levelled the match score when he defeated Chris Gordon 2-1 after losing the first frame. Justin Kilpatrick gave the Fairhill the lead when he beat Brendan O’Mullan 2-1 after losing the first frame but Adrian Rourke levelled the match score at 3-3 when he defeated Paul Hayes in straight frames. Diamond Duffers 4, Fairhill Dreamers 2: Kenny Allen put the Dreamers in front when he beat Liam O’Kane by a 2-1 scoreline after losing the first frame. Jason Olgilvy levelled the scores before Jarlath Downey put the Diamond ahead when he beat Sean Brannigan by a 2-1 score after losing the first frame.

Ballee Rollers 1, Coach Bar 5: Josh Macrory got the home team off to a great start when he defeated David Carlisle by a 2-1 scoreline but that proved the only high point for Rollers.

Coach ran out comfortable winners thanks to wins from Darren Gilmore, Donald Alexander, Raymond Lynn, David Gillespie and KD Crabbe. POM - Darren Gilmore.
