Bushfoot members sweep up Open Day honours

ALTHOUGH this was an open day, the Bushfoot Golf Club's members made a clean sweep of the prizes.

Mervyn T Greer (6) took the overall title with 40 points.

Best in the Men’s section was Kenneth McKillop playing off 7 who scored 38 points. Kenneth needed his better back 9 to see off another 38 pointer from Gerald Madden (7) while, a point further behind came Nigel Dobbin with 37 from his handicap of 15.

Gregory Warner left with the gross prize scoring 81.

In the ladies section Helen Creighton (19) amassed 34 points to win by a single stroke from Jean Baker with 33 from her handicap of 25.

NICHA Charity Day

The Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke Association held a charity day at Bushfoot on Saturday.

This was won with a great net 64 from Nigel Peacock (15) split by tie break from another 15 handicapper, Robin Neill.
