After the trophies and prizes had been presented Treasurer Daniel Steele handed over the Bushmills and District Charity Shield monies of £600 to Cancer Research UK’s Ballycastle Branch representative Godfrey Brown who gave an informative insight into how this would help the research in places like Queen’s University to develop new techniques that will give more people the ability to overcome cancer.

This was a great evening and afterwards the bowlers danced to the wee small hours to the music of Francis Faulkner. Bushmills and District League’s AGM is on Tuesday 28th April in the Lagg Hall and new clubs wishing to join the league can phone or text 07809050326 beforehand to register their interest.
