Bushmills United night

TWO long-serving members of Bushmills United FC have been honoured at the annual dinner of the club.

Bobby Greer was voted Clubman of the Year when the trophies were handed out at Bushfoot Golf Club and also honoured was Stephen Kane, another of the club’s great stalwarts.

Both men have been attached to the Bushmills club for the past 25 years and have steered it through difficult times.

Indeed, the start of last season proved a stern test for United but it was the likes of Kane and Greer as well as other members of the management team who got things moving in the right direction.

At the awards, the Young Player of the Year went to Gerald Kane while the leading goal scorer was Lee West.

The Players’ Player of the year as well as the Manager’s Player of the Year was Chris Greer. The Burst Ball award went to Conor Allen.

Bushmills United are a well established part of the community in the area and once again the awards night was a big success.
