Busy schedule ahead for Coleraine & District Badminton League

THE Coleraine and District Badminton Leagues is hotting up now as the matches are drawing to a conclusion.

Garvagh are the clear favourites to win the Junior League unless Sandelford can cause an upset in the final match.

The Minor A league is very tight between Garvagh and Ballinteer ‘A’ and will probably hinge on the last match between the two clubs.

Ballinteer ‘A’ team have maximum points in the Minor B league and with only one match remaining against Ballinteer ‘B’ cannot be beaten.

The Men’s league as always is very tight between Garvagh and Ballinteer but Ballinteer, with just one match against Dunloy to play are now favourites, having secured a 5-1 win over Sandelford on Friday night.

Clubs are now looking forward to the cup competitions. While Dunloy and Sandelford meet each other in both the Armstrong and the Cameron, old rivals Ballinteer and Garvagh have been drawn against each other in all three events.

The final of the King Cup will take place at Peter Thompson Hall, Castlerock, on March 23.
