Busy time for Randalstown club's Ulster and Irish representatives

Randalstown had three players representing Ulster U16's over the weekend.

Anna Doherty, Charlotte Stacey and Laura Chestnutt travelled to Glasgow, Scotland for a 3-match series against their Scottish counterparts. Ulster U16 girls beat Scotland 5-2 on Friday with Charlotte Stacey getting a goal. On Saturday the girls drew 3-3 and on Sunday they were beaten 3-0.

This weekend, Ulster U18’s travel to Cardiff, Wales for a 3-match series against their Welsh counterparts. Alice Reid has been selected to represent Ulster U18’s. The Ulster U21 team will travel to Glasgow, Scotland for a 3-match series against their Scottish counterparts. Alex Oligby has been selected to represent Ulster U21’s.

Randalstown player Zoe Wilson represented Ireland Senior team in the recent 4-match Phoenix Gas Test Series against Spain. The team played two matches at NICS, Stormont in Belfast and two matches at UUJ Campus, Jordanstown. Ireland won the opening match 2-0. In the second match Ireland beat Spain match 2-1 with Anna Flanagan opening the scoring when she deflected Zoe’s strike from a short corner piece. Spain won the third game 3-0 and the final game 2-1 to level the series.
