Buttered up at Artana WI

After all business was conducted Miss Meeke introduced the speakers Mr & Mrs Abernethy from Abernethy Butter in Dromara.

There was a demo on how to make the butter and then members sampled it on wheaten bread.

Mrs Abernethy also makes fudge from the butter and again samples were supplied.

There was opportunity to purchase the butter and fudge which most of the ladies did. Birthday Girl was Mrs Edna Younge.

Afterwards there was a lovely supper followed by the singing of the “Country Women’s Song” and Miss Meeke wished all the ladies a Merry Christmas.
