Camogs reach Ulster league final

Eoghan Rua’s senior camogs reached the final of the Ulster Premier League with a solid 1-11 to 0-3 win over Down side Ballycran at Pairc Eoghain Rua.

Playing with the wind in the first half Eoghan Rua built up a 1-6 to nil lead at the break. All but a point, Grace McMullan scoring, came from Grainne McGoldrick, she smashed home the goal following a good pass from Rosanna McAleese midway through the half. Early in the second half Ballycran threatened to make a game of it with three quick points from Briege McGowan and Kathleen McGourty (2).

However their challenge fizzled out as McGoldrick came back with two more points while Megan Kerr and Claire Tracey added scores midway through the half. Just one more point was added, Grace McMullan on target, in the last quarter with Eoghan Rua comfortably through to the final.
