Canoe talent day at Craigavon centre

The ambition is to highlight potential in the borough.

Positions remain open on the canoe sprint and canoe slalom selection squads.

Sessions will run from 10-4 o’clock at the cost of £10 - with equipment provided but individuals welcome to use personal wetsuits.

The Talent ID Day is open to enthusiasts aged 10-18 years old.

“We are looking for future Olympic stars,” said a spokesperson for The Canoe Association Of Northern Ireland. “You must love being outdoors and have basic

paddling experience.

“Those highlighted must be able to commit to a long-term training programme.”
