Carniny support anti ‘hate’ programme

CARNINY Amateurs used their second round JJB Irish Cup tie to support the ‘Unite Against Hate’ campaign which supports victims of crime due to religion, race or orientation.

Such crimes have no place in society and Carniny like all right minded clubs should give the programme their full support. Prior to the game on Saturday all the Carniny players wore the logo on sponsored ‘t’ shirts and displayed a banner at the ground. Carniny Seconds will also support the programme at their game this Saturday at Ballymena Showgrounds against Carrickfergus YC.

This is yet another positive step in the clubs education programme hot on the heels of their lessons on health and fitness which were given funding.

INTERMEDIATE CUP TIE NEXT ON THE HORIZON

Next up for the ‘Amateurs’ is the clubs first ever venture in the Intermediate Cup with an away tie against Saintfield United this Saturday in the County Down village. Amateurs have already beaten Saintfield this year when they ejected them out of the Irish Cup in September before going out in the next round.
