Carrick Sailing Club clinch Irish title

A team from Carrickfergus Sailing Club have won the Ruffian Irish Championship held in the Royal St George Yacht Club in Dublin.

Trevor Kirkpatrick led his team to success on Carrageen. It’s the first time the Cup has left Dublin Bay for a Northern Ireland-based club.

Two other yachts from Carrickfergus also made the trip: Daisy, owned by Wendy Moore, finished 19th, and Scorpio, owned by Brian Courtney, finished 13th out of 22.
