U13s: Carrick, captained by Ciaran Wilson, eased to a 52-5 win over their Instonians counterparts. The home side scored a total of four unanswered tries in the first half, two from Jack Cooper, one from Ciaran Wilson and one from Curtis Jenkins. Outhalf Wilson converted 3 of these to leave the score 26-0 at the break.

In the second half Carrick continued to dominate the physical contact areas and also proved very strong in set play line-outs and scrums. Carrick scored an additional four tries in the second half, 3 of which were converted. Inst U13s stuck to their task and scored a much deserved late consolation try which went unconverted.

U15s: Carrick recorded a home victory, running out 35-10 winners. The fixture was actually played as a friendly as the travelling side could not field a front row and forfeited the game. The game itself was played at a high tempo with the home side crossing the line three times in the first half. Two scores from C Gascoigne and one from winger T Alexander all of which were converted by G Hartley. The home side scored a further brace of tries with C Gascoigne completing a hat-trick and G Hartley touching down one and converting both scores successfully. Instonians rallied in the latter period of the game and scored two converted tries of their own.

U17s: Inst were unable to field a full side and in a sporting gesture Carrick reduced their numbers to accommodate the visitors.

Carrick stuck manfully to the task posting four top-notch tries in the first half.

A gallant Inst side, however, fought back and got a score just before half time, benefiting from lack of focus in an ever changing Carrick defensive line-up.

Further tries followed as the floodgates opened and Carrick exploited the open spaces leaving a record score of 62 - 7. Credit, however, to Instonians who battled for the full match in a hard and sporting fashion.
