Carson wins Bamford Cup
NINETEEN handicapper, Peter Carson, scored a great net 61 to win the Bamford Cup at Bushfoot Golf Club at the weekend.
This was two clear of runner-up Kenny McKillop who scored three consecutive birdies at 12, 13 and 14 to finish on 63. Robert Quinn, off 21, totalled 65 for third spot even with an unfortunate seven at the par 4 eighteenth. Robert took his third place on countback from Martin Freeman (7) but Martin was then able to claim the best gross with a 72.
