Castle's lead drops to just one point

Castle Bar B 4

Imperial Inn 4

THIS top of the table clash finished all square and kept the Castle just one point clear at the top of the league.

The Castle got off to the perfect start by winning the opening three frames through Errol Maney, Colly McSherry and Jason Harper.

The Imperial showed their fighting spirit when they replied with three in a row themselves from J McCahon, S Kerr and A Corbett.

The seventh frame went to Gordy Magennis to give the home side the advantage going into the final frame but I McCreanor showed his class by securing a point for the Banbridge side.

Planters 3

Donacloney Legion 5

Donacloney have found that winning mentality again with an impressive away win in the Planters on Tuesday night.

They started perfectly as N Totten, K Kirkwood and C Morton rattled off the first three frames. Chris Patience pulled one back for the Planters but the three frame deficit was restored by P Brooker in the next.

Ryan Fulton gave the Planters a chance of grabing a point by winning frame six but that was quickly wiped out by N Wilson in the seventh and the points were the Legion's.

Robbie Mulligan took the final frame for the home side.

Montague Legends 7

First and Last 1

As the result suggests the First and Last caught the Legends on a great night as the home side were only put under pressure in frame two as R Gartland levelled the match after Ronnie Weir had given the home team an early lead.

The next six frames all went to the home side through A Proctor, R Taylor, R Anderson, J McStay, R Gibson and D Singleton.

Bus Bar 4

Market Bar 4

The Bus Bar had to fight for this home point as they found themselves 4-2 down to the Market Bar.

J Kelly gave the Market Bar the opening frame before N McMurran squared the match in the next. The Market took three of the next four frames through P McStraw, P Beggs and R Jardine with A McCartan taking one for the Bus.

It was set up for a surprise away win but M McWilliams and D Mulligan had other ideas and secured a point for the home team.
