Challenging competition

ST Mary’s GAC grounds was the venue for Kilmore Archery Club’s Fita Star competition.

The competition attracted archers from both all over Ireland.

The weather was good but a brisk breeze made the competition more challenging for those who took part and were shooting at distances of up to 90 metres for the men and 70 metres for the ladies.

Overall trophy winners were:

Gents Compound, Darrel Wilson; Gents Recurve, Keith Hanlon; Gents Longbow, Charlie Harvey.

Junior Gents Compound, Caleb Dilworth; Junior Gents Recurve, Fiachra McDermott.

Ladies Compound, Tara Purcell Maitland; Ladies Recurve, Sinead Cuthbert; Ladies Longbow, Valerie Sleith.
