CHAMPIONSHIP TWO: Defeat for Portstewart at Chimney Corner

PORTSTEWART suffered a 3-1 defeat away to Chimney Corner on Saturday.

It was the Allen Park side's first win of the season in the Ladbrokes.com Championship Two.

But when Portstewart levelled with a shot which keeper Kyle Agnew could only help into the net on 33 minutes, the home crowd could have been forgiven for thinking it had been another false dawn.

But within two minutes they were on their feet again as Paul McIntyre put Corner back in front. And when substitute Henry Nutter set up McGroggan to score his second and Corner's third with 17 minutes left, the Antrim side were able to hold on and finally grab that elusive win. Gary Taylor's side entertain Lurgan Celtic this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
