Chance to get off bottom of table

A WIN over Newry City tonight at New Grosvenor could see Lisburn Distillery off the bottom of the table for the first time this season.

The Whites are just two points behind Institute who are away at Portadown tonight.

Distillery have taken 10 points out of a possible 12 and are on a great run at present. Institute, who were 12 points clear of the Whites, seem to be going the other way.

"Survival is in our own hands, if we win our remaining games it should lift us off the bottom," says manager Tommy Wright.

"We still have a mountain to climb. We are on a great run at the minute but we can't take our foot off the gas," he insisted.

"The spirit has never been better and there is a real togetherness in the squad. I have always believed we can get out of this mess and I think the players are starting to share that belief too."

Linfield could also enjoy a good night if results go their way. They face Glenavon at Windsor Park while second and third placed Cliftonville and Glentoran clash at Solitude.

"As always we'll look at out own game first and Glenavon will not be coming here to lie down that is certain. We experienced how difficult it was on Saturday to beat Ballymena and we face the same determination again from Glenavon," said boss David Jeffrey.

"We have a lead but it is up to us to maintain it. Three points again is the priority."
