Ciaran sets three new swimming club records

COLERAINE Swimming Club Boys Captain, Ciaran Sloan, has broken three club records.

At the Ulster Youth Championships in March Ciaran broke the U16 Freestyle with a fantastic 24.62, earning bronze.

He then followed this up with the new U16 Backstroke time of 28.52 to take gold.

At the Ulster Graded Gala and just after his birthday, Ciaran set the new Over 16 Backstroke record of 28.91 on April 18.

These fantastic times and his selection for Ulster prove that hard work pays off. Well done to Ciaran and the coaches.

At the Ulster Youth Championships Chris Coils won silver in the 100m Fly (16 yrs), Jaydee Ferguson took bronze in the 200m Breaststroke (16 yrs) and Ian McCulloch scooped bronze in the 100m Breaststoke (15 yrs).

In the Medley Relay 450m (15 yrs), Calum Ferguson, Andrew McCulloch, Ian McCulloch and James Richardson achieved bronze while in the Freestyle Relay 450m (17 yrs), Chris Coils, Jaydee Ferguson, Ian McCulloch and Ciaran Sloan came home with silver.
