CIS PREVIEW: We're not in it to make up the numberes: Gary Scott

GLEBE Rangers boss Gary Scott says his side are 'well prepared' ahead of Saturday's CIS cUP clash with Coleraine.

He told Times Sport that the draw with Coleraine is a fantastic boost for both the Club and its players.

"We want to show people how far we have come as a team and as a club, on and off the pitch, and Saturday's game is the perfect opportunity to do this.

"We are well prepared for the game.

"Coleraine is one of the top four clubs in the country, and there is a great buzz around Ballymoney ahead of the game."

Of course the Coleraine man has signed a handful of Coleraine lads this season, and he says that they have all been exceptional.

"Owen Moody, Lee Forgrave and Alan Shepherd are all on board this year.

"I see Glebe as a pathway for young players, to challenge themselves at this level and become better players, or perhaps to move on to Premiership clubs and these three boys have proved their worth."

Gary singled out Alan Shepherd who made the step up to the Championship after playing for Coleraine Crusaders: "His confidence is high and to be honest he has been a revelation, I am so pleased that he has risen to the challenge."

Looking ahead to the game, Gary added: "We are not in it to make up the numbers. We have every chance of getting something from the game. We will have a game plan, we have to go out and work hard, and stick to the plan.

"We had bad result against Knockbreda in the Cup on Saturday, but we have learnt from this.

"We have set ourselves a high standard, and we didn't meet that on Saturday, but it was a learning curve for both me and the players."
