Terry McMaster’s side had a terrific start to the new All Ireland League season last Saturday when they scored five tries in a bonus point victory away to MU Barnhall.

Derry had an outstanding first half which was a product of all the hard work put in preseason from Head Coach Terry McMaster and his coaching staff and players.

It was one of the most exciting first half performances ever seen form a Derry team and the season to come holds an anticipation of exceptional attacking performances that will see all supporters flocking to Judges Road to shout on the Green and Black.

Saturday’s encounter is a top of the league clash with Derry and Bective being the only two teams to win in AIL 2B last weekend with a try bonus point.

Coach McMaster reports that he has no injuries from last weekend and with a number of players on the seconds putting their hands up for selection he has a nice selection problem.

Second XV Coach Brian Prue indicates that point following two outstanding league victories from his team against Dungannon and Ballyclare. Meanwhile the City of Derry Mini’s (6 to 12 years-olds) play Letterkenny on Friday evening starting at 7pm, then on Saturday the Youth side play Strabane Academy with the Under 14’s, 16’s and 18’s all starting at 11am.
