THE new season is now well under way and the first competitions of the season have seen some good catches of trout. Winners of competitions to date are as follows:-

Davy Gordon Cup - J. Nelson, 4 trout for 2lb 11oz, runner up G. Webb, 1 trout for 1lb 4oz. Charlie McFlynn Memorial Cup - P. Griffin, 3 trout for 3lb, runner up J. Nelson 5 trout for 2lb 8oz.

The next competition is for the Eugene Donnelly Cup, this the first fly fishing competition of the year and will be fished from 6pm (starts from club house).

All club members are reminded that ID card, club permit and DCAL licence must be carried at all times while fishing.

A useful number to have in your mobile phone is the Pollution Hotline number - 0800 807060 which should be used to report any pollution incidents.
