Clann na Banna make it three in a row

Clann na Banna travelled to Newry in search of a third win on the bounce.

Bosco took advantage of the wind, putting the ball over the bar from distance to start the scoring.

But Clann’s pressure soon paid off, Stevie McArdle going around his man, blasting at the keeper and putting away the rebound.

The Clann quickly added to the score, the ball again falling to McArdle who turned his man and pointed from a tight angle.

Bosco pulled the game back level with a free and two scores from play.

Just before half time McArdle found himself with the ball again in the corner, went past his marker and slotted over the bar,

Clann started the second half with the wind and full of confidence but it was Bosco who drew the game level with a pointed free.

Matty Mallon showed a bit of skill to dummy his man and point over the bar to regain the lead.

Bosco hit two quick scores in succession to regain the lead since the beginning of the first half.

But Feeney pointed from play to draw the game level once more.

Bosco hit back again with another point from play and to regain the lead.

McArdle pointed from play to draw the game level once more only shortly after coming on for Brian Donaghy.

Bosco piled the pressure on, but the Clann defence stayed solid and played extremely well, passing the ball out at ease and finding the men in the forward line.

Connor Lenaghan got the decisive score to regain the Clann’s lead, pointing well from play.

McArdle added his final score of the night, Gillen volleyed to finish the game off.
