For nine days the city has played host to visitors from all over the world as the LegenDerry Maritime Festival played out along the banks of the River Foyle, attracting thousands of visitors with a myriad of phenomenal events, from continental style food stalls and alfresco dining and beer gardens, to family entertainment in the form of street performers and a fun fair.

There was entertainment on and off the water with pirates and professional sailors and even the sun shone while musicians performed on street corners.

One of the most popular events was the Parade of Sail, when the crew of the Derry-Londonderry-Doire led the other 11 crews on a sail by of the quayside, cheered along by thousands of spectators.
