Clogher await Ballyclare in round two of Towns’ Cup

Clogher Valley will return to The Cloughan later this month to face Ballyclare in a second round tie in the Powerade Towns’ Cup.

Kukri Section Two side, Ballyclare, currently leading the section, caused an upset in the Millar, McCall, Wylie Junior Cup quarter-finals, when they defeated Clogher, who at the time were sitting on top of Kukri Section One.

The Co Antrim side went on to contest this season’s Junior Cup final, but lost to Ballynahinch IIs at Ravenhill.

Ballyclare ended up as joint winners of the Towns’ Cup last season when they drew, after extra time, in the Easter Monday showpiece with City of Derry IIs.

The Londonderry side crashed out at the first hurdle.

Ballyclare will not have the element of surprise this time when Clogher come a calling on Saturday, January 25.
