Club begins search for young players

BANBRIDGE Rangers have start their recruitment for the 2013/14 this month with a series of open training sessions at Cheney Park for any potential coaches and players to become involved with their local football club.

The age groups will range from Under 7s to Under 16s next year with an emphasis placed on making it an enjoyable and character building experience for our young players but to also give them opportunites to compete at the highest level they can.

The newly formed Under 16s (born 1998) train at Cheney Park on Monday evenings from 7-8pm and invite any young players of that age to come and join in.

The Under 15s (born 1999) have been together for four years now and would be looking for players to join their squad and to fill the gap at Under 14 (born 2000) level below them with training at Cheney Park from 6-7 pm on Monday and Thursday evenings.

The Under 13s (born 2001) will also continue at 11 a side level whilst the Under 12s (born 2002) and the Under 11s (born 2003) will also enter the Mid Ulster League but it is expected that these teams will both compete at 9 a side level.

The Under 10s (born 2004) and Under 9s (born 2005) will compete at 7 a side level in the Mid Ulster Games Development Centre next season whilst the Under 8s (born 2006) and the Under 7s (born 2007) will play at 5 a side level.

At Banbridge Rangers we also have girls teams at Under 11 level (born 2003 & 2004) and Under 9 level which will accomodate any girls born in 2005 or 2006. They also train from 6-7pm on Monday and Thursday evenings at Cheney Park up until the end of June and are open to all newcomers.
