Club expect more tails later in season

ANGLERS descended on Carnlough recently for the next series of the Master Angler competition.

The evening was pleasant with clear skies and a very calm sea as both adults and juniors set up their rods. But catches were hard to come by and each hour that passed only caused more frustration.

The anglers tried in vain all techniques and bait available but only a few counting species made the measuring board.

The evening ended with large sighs of disbelief but Drew Ferguson took the points with big smiles catching three flounder.

Joint second place went too Barry Platt and Derek Craig and Graeme Blair grabbed third.

Species on the evening was Flounder, Codling and Rockling. As the months go on the totals caught is expected to increase.

The next club meeting takes place tonight (Thursday) at 8pm at the Pigeon Club.

Larne & District Sea Angling Club welcome any new members to the club.
