Clubmark evening ‘a great success’

BANBRIDGE District Council in conjunction with Sport NI and the Southern Sports Partnership recently ran a very successful Clubmark NI Information Session for Sports Clubs in the District with a total of 11 different local Clubs in attendance to hear about the programme.

Clubmark NI is a national junior sports club accreditation programme that is endorsed by Sport NI, the leading public body for the development of sport in Northern Ireland.

The programme aims to identify, develop, accredit and recognise high quality junior sports clubs and the contribution that they make to the development of sport in Northern Ireland.

Highlighted on the evening were a number of incentives available to accredited Clubs including £250 from Banbridge District Sports Association and a free Sport NI Coach Development group workshop offered for up to 20 coaches. Those in attendance were also able to benefit from a one to one session with a Development Officer who was able to give further sports specific guidance.

If your club was unable to attend and would like further information about the Clubmark Programme please contact Sarah Porter, Banbridge District Council Sports Development Assistant on T: 028 4066 0605 or email [email protected]
