TWO local clubs are in mourning following the death of two club stalwarts.

"He will be sadly missed by the Liatroim Fontenoy Club, as no job was too big for him to do and always completed with a genuine love for the club.

"The committee and members extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Bernie, sons Patrick Pearse, Barry, Mical and William, daughters Catriona, Siobhan, Ashling and Caitlin, grandchildren Ruairi and Padraig, his mother Mary Rose, brother Michael, and sisters, Marie, Shiela and Nuala. May he rest in peace."

Meanwhile Herbie Irvine, a well known figure within Banbridge Hockey Club, passed away last week at his Primrose Gardens home, aged 91.

"The Club would like to pass on their condolences to his children Molly, Peggy, Bob and John and the wider family circle," said the club on their website.
