Clubworld play reduced to six qualifying weeks

Portadown officials remain confident this weekend will mark the welcome opening date of the Clubworld Travel New Year Tournament.

The competition has been restructured due to recent adverse weather conditions - with play reduced to six weeks of qualifying ahead of the matchplay fortnight.

The format will remain singles Stableford, with weekly section prizes.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will mark a 10-hole Stableford sweep around the course.

The 10-hole seniors’ Stableford competition has been scheduled for Monday, January 25.

Ladies are reminded that the annual dinner will take place on Tuesday, January 26 - with members to meet at 6.45 ahead of the 7 o’clock start. All winners should report by 6.30 for photographs.

The menu is available in the locker-room.

The AGM is booked for February 23.
