Coca Cola Intermediate Cup (round 2)Killymoon Rangers 3 – 4 Tobermore Utd.

TOBERMORE boss Jim Scott will be very disappointed that his side almost threw away a cup tie that they were 4 – 0 at halftime against local rivals Killymoon Rangers.

David McClements opened the first half rout with 11 minutes gone and Kevin Lynch added number 2 on 15 minutes. Lee Forgrave tapped in number 3 just before the half hour mark and Ryan McAuley hit number 4 just before half time.

But it was all change inside 10 minutes of the restart when McAuley was red carded for a tackle inside the box that Barry Kelly converted.

Killymoon came roaring back at their visitors and Roger Greer pulled another one back on 65 minutes and Tobermore’s cause wasn’t helped when the referee, for the third time, got in the way of Dean Stewart and whatever Stewart said annoyed the referee so much he too was sent off.

Simon Kerr pulled another goal back in the 90th minute to make it 3-4 but they were unable to find an equaliser and Tobermore progressed into the next round.

Final score; Killymoon Rangers 3 – 4 Tobermore Utd.

Tobermore travel to Coagh next Saturday for a 6 pointer against their local rivals and then it’s the big Boxing Day final when Tobermore take on Limavady in the final of the Craig memorial Cup.

The final kicks off at 11.30 and the word is to get their early as a large crowd is expected.
