Coleraine battle hard to share the spoils

LAST Saturday Coleraine Ladies First XI travelled to play Parkview, missing five players from their regularsquad, so it was up to a few new faces to stand up and be counted.

Coleraine had passback and started the game well but gradually Parkview started to take control of things. They forced Michelle Budina into several good saves in the Coleraine goal.

Coleraine tried to break out of their defence and create an attack or two on the Parkview defence and forcing a couple of saves from the home keeper.

The second half started with Parkview pressurising the defence of Coleraine again, who played well to contain the Parkview attacks. Coleraine continued to hit Parkview on the break. They won a couple of short corners and were eventually rewarded with a goal from Carolann Agnew giving.

This made Parkview step up and after several short corners they were rewarded with an equaliser.

Coleraine did have another chance to win the game when they won a penalty stroke from a Carolann short corner strike. The flick though was well saved by the home keeper.

While at the other end Michelle Budina produced a couple of good saves to deny the hosts a winner.

Well done to all who played and thanks to Pearl McCartney for umpiring.
