COMMONWEALTHS: Mogey set to face Canadian Guo

Table Tennis: Carnmoney’s Amanda Mogey will face Betty Guo of Canada in the last 64 of the Women’s Singles at the Commonwealth Games this afternoon (2pm).

Mogey defeated Papua New Guinea’s Idau Chris 4-0 in Tuesday morning’s Pool G match before seeing off Pakistan’s Farwa Babar on the same scoreline in the afternoon session.

Along with Ashley Givan, Hannah Lynch-Dawson and Emma Ludlow she was part of the Northern Ireland team which lost out to Sri Lanka 3-1 on Friday, despite her doubles win with playing partner Lynch.

In the Women’s Team Classification in Table Tennis, Northern Ireland beat Scotland 3-1 to finish in 13th place overall.
