Competitions underway within Ladies Branch

THE new season at Banbridge Golf Club’s Ladies Branch is now well underway, the first competition having been played on March 12.

Results of competitions to date are below:

March 12 – nin hole competition - Winner: Denise Nelson Runner up: Carole Quinn

March 19 – nine hole eclectic: winner: Ann Blevins; runner up: Susan Magennis (beating Helen Smyth on countback)

Tuesday April 2 – Easter Tuesday, 18 hole stableford - Winner - Suzanne Murfitt; runner up: Bea Boyce (on countback); Pink Ladies winner: Margaret Lennon; Pink Ladies - runner up: Carmel Hillen

Forthcoming competitions: 16 April - 18 hole competition; 23 April – 18 hole competition; 26 April - Club mixed (tee off from 4 – 7pm) see timesheet when available; 30 April - Mary Peter Sports Trust

The draw for the Mrs William Smyth club matchplay trophy will be held on Monday April 29 so please ensure anyone wishes to play has their name on the list prior to the event. List will be in locker room.

Any lady member interested in playing in one of the teams is asked to put their name on the relevant lists in the ladies locker room.

With lots of exciting events happening both on and off the course in the coming months as the club celebrates its centenary year, members are asked to keep an eye out for notices / posters which will be displayed in the clubhouse throughout the year.
