Congratulations to St Brigid’s hurlers

SINN Féin Councillor and St Brigid’s committee member Cathal Mclaughlin has congratulated his club on winning their first ever county intermediate hurling championship title with a victory over St Paul’s of Belfast at Casement Park last Sunday.

Cllr McLaughlin said: “Cloughmills went into this championship as underdogs but surprised everyone but their own supporters by defeating favourites Gort Na Mona in the semi-final, and then St Pauls in the final by a single point.

“I would like to congratulate the St Brigids hurlers on winning their first ever county intermediate hurling championship title since the club was founded some 20 years ago.”
