Conn collects Scratch Cup prize with success around the Tandragee course

Neale Conn managed to collect the Scratch Cup on Saturday in Tandragee thanks to level-par 71 gross off his three handicap.

Ryan Harpur was next in the standings thanks to 72 gross.

The annual Scratch Cup programme featured four different sections - 5 handicap or less, 6-12 handicap, 13-plus handicap and over 60s.

Countback success arrived for Simon Muldrew in the Junior Scratch Cup with 74 gross and back-nine victory.

Robin Kenny posted 74 gross off the back nine, with Randolph Loney third.

The Intermediate Scratch Cup featured Colin Percy first on 80 gross over Colin Hyndes and Richard White. Hyndes’ 39 over the back nine placed him in front of White.

The Veterans’ Cup was won by William Brady on 42 points, with Don Johnston next and Raymond White completing the top three.

In the team competitions, Tandragee’s Ulster Cup players hit the road for the first leg at Moyola. A result of five matches to two, with Hammy Loney and Paul Lappin in front for the visitors.

The return leg will run on Sunday, June 5 from 3 o’clock.
