Connor continues to stay on track for more success

Fit N Running’s junior athlete Connor McQuillan continues to impress as he recorded another big personal best performance.

Connor was in action in Thursday night’s Power NI track and field event staged at the newly refurbished Mary Peters track.

He took full advantage of the pristine track in the 3000 metres race as he clipped an incredible 27 secs off his previous best which was set three 
weeks ago.

This performance saw 15 year old Connor win the under 17 boys race.

WOODBURN FOREST RACE

Mark McKinstry produced another fine performance in the second race of the East Antrim Harriers Forest race series on Tuesday evening.

Up against quality opposition Mark recorded an impressive 4th place finish lowering his time on the same course from last year by 1min 31 secs as he crossed the line in 15mins 54secs.

CLUB TRAINING

Fit N Running are based at the Michelin Athletic Club in Ballymena.

They train on Tuesday evenings at 6.15pm. There is also a session on Saturday mornings at 9.15am.

The club cater for the full range of runners from beginners, juniors though to intermediate and advanced athletes.
