Conor enjoys velodrome opportunity

BANN Valley Road Club (M Clarke & Sons Contracts) youth rider and Under 16 Irish track champion, Conor McAteer, recently got the opportunity to experience riding on the velodrome, with a visit to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.

The Randalstown youngster had the benefit of two coached “taster” sessions and, following testing, was awarded the “blue slip”, which is the first stage in the Manchester Velodrome accreditation.

Whilst there, Conor also had the opportunity to observe the GB cycling team, including Olympic medallist, Sir Chris Hoy, train on the track.
