Continued success for Curran rinks

CURRAN Ladies continued their surge towards honours in the NIWBA junior league, returning from Lagan Valley with the maximum five points.

Curran now lie in second place, only half a point behind leaders Dromore. By the time of going to press, this pair will have contested the final of the prestigious Joyce Kavanagh Trophy at Ward Park, Bangor.

Valerie Noble’s rink 1, of J Spiers, E Magill and S Greer found themselves trailing six shots to two after five ends. Capably skipped, the ladies rallied to lead 11-7 at 10 and finally returning an 18 to 14 shot card over the 18 ends.
