Convincing win for Bann U16B over Dromore

Banbridge U16B had a very convincing win over Dromore last Tuesday, January 20, at Banbridge Leisure Centre in the league.

Banbridge stormed ahead in the first quarter with everyone focused on the task ahead.

Both the attack and defence were on form from the onset resulting in Banbridge scoring of their own centre pass and stealing every one of Dromore’s resulting in a 13-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

The team remained the same going into the 2nd quarter where again Banbridge continued their top form.

Banbridge challenged every attacking move by Dromore and with every interception effortlessly brought it down the court where it was accurately fed into the circle by Madi Chambers and Courtney Savage with GA Gemma Hassan and GS Amy Walsh making no mistake in converting. Half time score Banbridge 23 – 2 Dromore.

Banbridge made three changes going into the 3rd quarter with Rhiannon Hinds, Sarah Shaw and Caitlin Parks all taking to the court.

Dromore began to find their way a little, however Banbridge continued to make it hard with excellent defence and pressuring every pass to force an error.

End of the 3rd quarter – Banbridge 32 – 6 Dromore.

Only one change was made in the last quarter with Gabrielle Feenan coming back on to replace Alana Kerr in GD.

Banbridge continued with the 100% workrate right to the final whistle with Dromore unable to score in the last quarter.

Final score Banbridge 42 – 6 Dromore.
