Again Cookstown would dominate the breaststroke with 19 personal bests being recorded in this event alone and imposing swims for the whole team coming from Grainne McCormick, Hannah Slane, Matthew McNeill and Anastasia and Andrew McGurk.

In the butterfly Cookstown were too strong for their opponents with Ailbhe Keenan, Ciara Malcolm, Adam Rocks, Conor Shiels and Jack Haycock all catching the eye with splendid swims.

Going into the front crawl Cookstown had built up a 42 point lead and were not going to get caught with wins for Hannah Slane, Kelly Hunter, Ellie Parke, Michael Gallen, Matthew McNeill and Jack Haycock extending their lead by a further eight points and going to win three out of the four front crawl relays, leaving them eventual winners by 229 points to Portadown’s 171 points.

Another brilliant result for the aqua sprint team and congratulations to all swimmers who took part.
