Council serves up tennis and badminton courses

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are offering children the opportunity to take part in racquet sports as part of this year's Summer Activity Programme.

Two tennis courses have been organised in conjunction with Banbridge District Sports Association, the Everybody Active 2020 Programme (supported by Sport NI) and Banbridge Tennis Club.

The first course will take place at King George V Playing Fields in Banbridge from Monday 18 July until Friday 22 July between 9.30am and 11am for 6 to 9-year-olds and between 11.30am and 1pm for 10 to 14-year-olds.

There is also an opportunity to participate in a tennis course at Dromore Community Centre from Monday 1 August to Friday 5 August between 1.30pm and 3pm for 6 to 9-year-olds and between 3pm and 4.30pm for 10 to 14-year-olds.

In addition, two badminton courses have been organised in conjunction with Ulster Badminton for 8 to 15-year-olds.

The first will be held at Dromore Community Centre from Monday 18 July until Friday 22 July between 2.30pm and 4pm.

The second badminton course will run at Banbridge Leisure Centre from Monday 25 July until Friday 29 July between 1.30pm and 3pm.

The cost to participate in each course will be £15 for the first child and £12 for each additional child from the same immediate family.
